India is celebrating its one of the major festival Ganesh Chaturthi. We celebrate this 10 days long festival every year.
People are celebrated this with great pomp and show. On this day we celebrate Lord Ganesh Birthday. The festival was celebrated as a public event since the time of Maratha King Shivaji, but a Sarvajanik (Public) Ganesh idol was installed first by Bhausaheb Laxman Javale. It’s started from 25 August 2017 to 5 September 2017. This festival is known as Vinayak Chaturthi in western states of India like Maharastra, Chhatisgarh, Telangana, and Gujarat. Maharastra is the known for grand scale Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations. But nowadays it’s celebrating in the whole country on a big scale. People contribute money for the occasion and brought ‘Murti’ in ‘Pandal’ which make before 15-20 day ago from Ganesh Chaturthi.
On this day they process ceremonial installation of Murti and decorate the Pandal with flower and other stuff. State government declare a public holiday and arrange forces and local Police for the security of this grand event which will run nest 10 days. In Maharashtra, Aartis are performed with friends and family, typically in the morning and evening.
There are four main rituals during the festival – Pranapratishhtha – the process of infusing the deity into a murti or idol, Shhodashopachara – 16 forms of paying tribute to Ganesha, Uttarpuja – Puja after which the idol could be shifted after its infusion, Ganpati Visarjan – immersion of the Idol in the river.Lord Ganesha is also worshiped in Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Nepal, and China.
On the last day, the Visarjan Yatra make this festival more joyful and glorious every person enjoy very much during this 10 days.
